A Night at the Museum


Explore the Museum as the sun goes down at our night time adventure for our smallest visitors.

Discover what happens at night when the Museum closes and see the animals before they go to bed. Explore every nook of the Museum including new exhibitions Monkeys: A Primate Story, the brand-new SparkLab Sciencentre, and meet the locals in Wild State! Dance along with live music; see demonstrations, amazing objects, performances, hands-on activities and more. In addition to your exclusive access, here are a few more things to expect on the night:  

- Discovery Centre pop-up - Can you identify our distant and not so distant relatives from their replica primate skulls in our 'Primate Lineup'?

- Taxidermy demonstrations - Meet a Queensland Museum expert and talk all things taxidermy! View real-life specimens and learn about the taxidermy process

- Science show

- Geckos Wildlife show

- Monkey mask and drawing activity

- Super Stef Disco

- Roving entertainment

- Face painters and balloon twisters

 MyMuseum Members will need to present their card and ticket on entry. Prices include all booking fees.

Food and Drink

A selection of hot and cold family friendly food and drinks will available for purchase. The event is licensed. ID will be required to purchase alcohol.
