Cheeky Neurons

In this facilitated and hands-on crafting workshop, your little ones will create their own cheeky neuron character to take home, while learning about brains, neurons and epilepsy.

Nix and Nellie the Cheeky Neurons (and expert facilitators) have a mission to help young audiences and their families understand what is happening in the brain when someone has epilepsy.

Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects up to 1 in 200 children globally. By helping children and families understand epilepsy in a fun and engaging way we hope to be able to reduce the stigma and anxiety that is often associated with the experience of epilepsy.

Cheeky Neurons is designed for young children but suitable for all ages and all materials are provided.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Queensland Museum, Tuesday 26 June and Wednesday 27 June, 10am - 12pm, Level 2, free entry.
