Join us this National Science Week 2018 for a whacky and wild sleepover at Queensland Museum!

Only on Saturday night 18 August 2018

Bring your sleeping bag, pillows and excitement, and get ready to explore the entire Museum including hands-on activities, torchlight tours, pop-up shows and a family trail version of Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives exhibition.

Have some tucker and then wind down with a movie before its lights out. Drift off to dream state amongst Queensland’s furry, spindly, scaly and friendly inhabitants in the Wild State gallery.

On Sunday morning, recharge with breakfast before some serious science fun to get the brain buzzing.

Ages: This event is strictly for 5 - 12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are not permitted without a child. Adult to child ratio of 1:3 required for Museum sleepovers. Please note the program is not suited for children under five years of age.

Museum Entry Points & Times:
Saturday 18 August 2018: 5:30pm – 6pm, Level 2, Main Foyer Doors
Sunday 19 August 2018: 8am – 8:30am, Level 2, Main Foyer Doors

The Museum will close at 5pm and reopen for Goodnight at the Museum at 5:30pm.

Food and Drink 
Dinner and breakfast is provided as part of your ticket. Beer and wine is available for purchase with dinner, and ID will be required.

What to bring:

  • All sleeping equipment i.e. sleeping bag, pillows, camping mat
  • Pyjamas and toiletries (no showers available)
  • Ear plugs (optional extra)
  • Torch (for the torchlight tours)

What not to bring
Unnecessary valuables, as the Museum is unable to store your personal belongings. Please keep your valuables with you at all times.
