Anthro Apology

Digi Youth Arts are excited to present ANTHRO APOLOGY as part of our long term residency at the Queensland Museum. This play unravels the complex relationships between cultural institutions and Indigenous peoples by looking towards a shared future through an examination of the museum's past. Presented as part of the Anywhere Theatre Festival.

The production was devised from the reactions of DYA youth artists when they explored the vast collections at the Queensland Museum. Cultural institutions are complicated spaces for our people and the work the young people present will hopefully show audiences why. “I want audiences to understand how these items came into museum collections and to develop a stronger respect and understanding of our people,” says youth artist and actor Shontae Wright.

ANTHRO APOLOGY is a landmark performance not to be missed.
